Activity 2: Bringing study kits

In the Dudhkunda municipality, the Shree Dudhkunda Himalaya Basic School is attended by over 100 children, teenagers and young adults. Students commonly drop out or skip classes because they could not afford the S$2 monthly school fees or they are required in the fields.

Mr & Mrs Chen Yong Long donated S$10,000 to the school, 50 families of extreme poverty and children who are doing well in their studies. The funds were used to buy study kits, textbooks and much needed school facilities such as computers, sound system and table tennis  table.

The school played the national anthem of Singapore as a gesture of appreciation for the kindness from Singapore!
